About SunMist Goldens
Our Story
SunMist Goldens started in the 1980's when my four children were small. Like many others, our first golden was found out of the newspaper as a pet for our children. With our first girl, Chessie, we fell in love with the breed. The family selling her was a military family who had a litter and decided to keep a puppy and sell Chessie. She was fully trained and an immediate asset to our family. The above picture is of my son, Pat, with a puppy from our first litter, from a Faera stud and our girl, Chessie!

With guidance from Rhonda Hovan we got our first clearances. And learned how to breed Goldens the correct way!

Neither Sunny nor Misty were ever bred due to health issues, but they were instrumental in the foundation of SunMist Goldens!
